Free Wildland Fire Home Assessment

El Dorado Fire Rescue offers free wildland fire home assessments to residents in our district. Our trained volunteers will visit your property and provide practical recommendations to reduce your home risk of ignition during a wildland fire event.

What We Evaluate

Defensible space around your home (0-30 ft and 30-100 ft zones)
Roof, vent, and deck ember vulnerability
Combustible materials near the structure
Access and egress for emergency vehicles
Vegetation management and fuel reduction

To request a free assessment, call us at 505-466-1204 and leave your name and contact number. A volunteer will follow up to schedule a convenient time.

This service is free to all residents within our district and surrounding areas.
