Madrid District hosted a Weed Pile burn on Sunday — two Engine Bosses, 4 district volunteers, a burn permit, appropriate weather conditions, and multiple water sources made for an excellent training.
We had an awesome extrication training this morning — 2 cars, 4 scenarios and 2 patients! We also had some classroom time to review hazmat scenarios. A busy Saturday!
It was cold, it was rainy, but we were so honored by the Eldorado community that showed up — thank you! And you were also generous with your kind words and your donations.
Some of your volunteer firefighters met last night to get our trucks washed and ready for the BBQ this Saturday. There will be games and a bounce house for the kids, free food and great music.

Congratulations to Dave Morgan and Michelle Sinclair for completing their Alpha skills task books! They've both completed their Wildland courses and both will be in the EMT-B course this fall.
We had a great training last Saturday — you might have seen us on Lamy Hill. We were practicing ropes, rescue, patient packaging on a Low to Moderate slope. Thanks Chris!
After an interesting AMTRAK training, we tried some patient evacuation scenarios using a ladder, our stokes, and a mannequin in the basket. And there is always the rope/knot refresher too.
